Chianti Classico Gran Selezione “CeniPrimo” is a 6.4-hectare parcel planted in 1998 with southwest exposures. Located by the Arbia River, the soils are very complex with alluvial deposits and clay that is low in organic materials and lower in limestone content. Nuanced and multifaceted, this wine will evolve slowly, going through many different incarnations over the years.
James Suckling: 98 Points
Great purity of sangiovese with cherry, plum and fresh flowers. Hints of orange peel. Ash. Balsamico. Full body, with super velvety and fine-grained tannins. Glorious finish. Transparent and beautiful. Love the finish.
