Happy Easter Folks! Popped open one of my favorite Paso Robles red blends today, Justin’s Isosceles 2016. This flagship wine is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Merlot. Full-bodied, complex, and yet oh-so-balanced. Soft aromas of dark fruit with a touch of cedar and tobacco buckles up your palate for a roller coaster ride. Climbing with black cherry and blackberry, summiting with a seemingly endless savory minerality, and then throwing you over the edge with a long finish filled with chewy tannins, cracked pepper, and sweet spices.
While Isosceles retails around $80, keep an eye out at Costco and WineSlash, I’ve seen it go on sale for nearly 50% off. Happy Hunting!
