# Le Vieux Donjon Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2021 This elegant Châteauneuf delivers surprising finesse for the vintage, with a delicate palate and silky tannins that set it apart from heavier expressions of the appellation. The nose reveals ripe red fruits—strawberry and raspberry—alongside subtle floral notes and white pepper, while the mouth shows lovely texture with fresh acidity and a long, spiced finish. Primarily grenache-based with syrah, mourvèdre, and cinsault, the wine benefits from decanting in its youth to fully express its aromatic complexity. Though still young and tightly wound, it promises excellent development through 2035.
