Château Lafite Rothschild 2020 shows the estate’s classic restraint and precision, opening with blackcurrant, cassis, cedar, graphite, and a touch of tobacco and violet.
The palate is medium to full-bodied, deeply layered, and very pure, with finely grained tannins and a polished, linear feel. It has impressive concentration without losing elegance, and the finish is long, fresh, and subtly mineral. This is a young wine built for extended cellaring, and it speaks clearly of Pauillac’s gravelly identity. Best served with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, or duck breast.
