Roberto Voerzio’s Barbera d’Asti Superiore 2023 is a polished, traditionally Piedmontese red with **ripe cherry, plum, and blackberry fruit** layered over subtle spice, cocoa, and a faint mineral edge. Its hallmark Barbera acidity gives the wine energy and lift, while the oak aging adds a round, supple texture without burying the fruit. Compared with a more familiar style of **Barbera d’Asti**, this feels deeper, more structured, and a bit more serious. It finishes smooth and persistent, making it easy to enjoy now but clearly built with a little more ambition than an everyday Barbera.
Serve it with **braised beef, grilled sausages, or aged cheeses**.
