A distinctive Tuscan red made from Caberlot, a crossing of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with ripe blackberry, blueberry and blackcurrant layered with violet, dried herbs, cedar and black pepper.
The palate is medium- to full-bodied, fresh and polished, with fine but youthful tannins and a long, savory finish. More restrained than a typical powerful Super Tuscan, it offers plenty of detail and character without losing balance.
Serve slightly below room temperature with roast lamb, grilled steak or mushroom-rich dishes.
