2015 **Le Clarence de Haut-Brion** is a polished, full-bodied Pessac-Léognan with ripe black cherry, cassis, plum and subtle mocha, tobacco and smoky oak notes. It shows the cool Graves character of **fresh acidity**, firm but refined tannins, and a long, earthy finish. The balance of richness and structure gives it a serious, château-style feel, and it can come across as a scaled-down echo of Haut-Brion itself. It is drinking well now, but still has the backbone to continue developing.
Serve it with **roast lamb or beef tenderloin**.
