Villa I Cipressi is fairly new to Tuscany; it was a bee farm up until the mid 90s when they took an opportunity to buy land and produce both premium wines and olive oil. Within a few years, it became recognized as one of the greats and now it consistently earns high scores from the best publications.

The “Zebras” bottling is made in stand out vintages and is produced with the highest quality grapes from the harvest. The fermentation is done in steel tanks and the wine then ages for 3 years in barrique and barrel.

While this wine will age beautifully over the next 3 decades, if you are going to open it now, give it plenty of air and make sure to decant it. It is a powerful wine and will need the time to open up!

Extremely floral and pure on the nose with black-cherry and blackberry aromas that show some dried roses. Full-bodied, yet very tight and focused with bright fruit and some leafy character. Polished, dusty tannins. Give this bottle age. From organically grown grapes. Try after 2024.
