Firm, classically Saint‑Estèphe, with a core of blackcurrant and blackberry framed by graphite and tobacco leaf, lifting to subtle violets and cedar on the finish.
The palate is medium‑to‑full, layered with ripe dark fruit, fine-grained yet persistent tannins and a cooling saline minerality that keeps the richness in check. Oak is present but well integrated, giving notes of vanilla and gentle spice without overwhelming the fruit. This magnum shows the structure and ageing potential of a wine from a gravelly Médoc site while remaining approachable now with some decanting.
Serve with roasted rib‑eye or a herb‑crusted lamb rack.
