Hailing from an estate next to Château Smith Haut Lafitte ($116+), Château Lafargue’s Cuvée Alexandre Pessac-Léognan is one of Bordeaux’s true hidden gems.
Leading with a faint bouquet of candied fruits and tropical flowers, this blend of Sauvignon Blanc (70%) and Sauvignon Gris (30%) offers a rich, creamy palate of stone fruit, honey, and lively zest of citrus.
It was sourced from vineyards in both Martillac and Saint-Médard-d’Eyrans, then aged for 8 to 10 months on the lees for optimal flavor complexity and richness.
