Château Margaux 2016 shows the estate’s hallmark perfume and precision, with lifted aromas of blackcurrant, red cherry, violet, and subtle cedar.
The palate is medium-bodied yet beautifully layered, combining refined Cabernet Sauvignon structure with silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral finish. It has the grace and balance of a classic Margaux, with enough depth to suggest very long aging potential. In style, it feels closer to the elegance of a great 2005 than the power of a 2010.
Serve with roast lamb, duck breast, or a truffled mushroom dish.
