4.4 Vivino Stars (50+ Reviews)
The world’s most discerning wine critics just can’t stop raving about the 2018 Domaine Nico Histoire d’A Pinot Noir, a limited production, high-elevation stunner from Catena, Argentina’s most awarded winery! Made by up-and-coming winemaker Roy Urvieta, and sourced from just four acres planted at a lofty 4,429 feet, this red has vivacity, elegance, and red berry flavors to spare. The only thing we don’t love about this Pinot is there just isn’t enough of it to go around.
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate 94 Points
I simply love the 2018 Histoire d’A Pinot Noir. It’s from a classic Mendoza vintage, dry, cool, sunny and with moderate yields in every region from the lowest to the highest altitudes. It combines the violets and red cherries with notes of blood orange peel and fine spices. This plot of vines on the Arianna Vineyard in Gualtallary has very shallow soils and an east exposure, which, combined with the vintage, has produced a very fresh and elegant wine, full of energy and light. It has refined tannin’s and very clean and focused flavors.
