Fedellos do Couto As Xaras Galicia 2023 is a bright, mid-weight Mencía with a fresh red-fruit profile, showing raspberry, cherry, and a touch of blackberry. It brings in floral notes, a mineral edge, and a light savory nuance that keep it agile rather than plush. The texture is silky, with fine tannins and a clean, slightly bitter finish that adds shape. It feels closest in spirit to a restrained, elegant Loire red or a lighter northern Rhône style, but with Galician lift and mineral cut.
