While best known for helping craft 100-point Bordeaux and Napa Wines, Julien Fayard was born in Provence, so Rosé is in his blood.
Alum of Bordeaux’s Lafite Rothschild, Pessac-Léognan’s Smith Haut Lafitte, and partner with Philippe Melka in Napa Valley, Julien Fayard has gone pink!
Bloomberg highlighted the 2019 Just Pink! in an article on 10 Rosé wines to seek out and Wine Enthusiast has awarded it 91 points: “A new offering from French-born winemaker Julien Fayard, based in the Napa Valley now, who looks to Provençal techniques to make this wine. Crisp, dry and earthy, it offers herbal elements of grass around racy lemon and lime, finishing in crisp peach and watermelon. It is made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Pinot Noir.”
At $15.00 on single bottle purchase or $12.00 on case-buys, this is a summer wine to stock up on before it’s too late.
