A polished, Oakville-grown Cabernet, this 2015 Passionnément shows cassis, black plum, cedar, graphite, and a touch of cigar box. It’s full-bodied and concentrated, but the creamy texture and fine tannins keep it balanced and composed. The profile is quite classic Napa with a Bordeaux-like edge, recalling a serious left-bank style in its structure and mineral drive. It should continue to age gracefully, but is already showing well with decanting.
Serve with a ribeye, roast lamb, or mushroom demi-glace.
