A polished Barossa Shiraz, the 2020 RWT Bin 798 is deeply flavored with dark berries, plum, violet, and warm spice, all wrapped in finely layered French oak. It has the power and depth expected of Penfolds, but the profile stays plush rather than heavy, with silken tannins and a long, composed finish. The style is often read as a more regional, French-oak-driven counterpart to Grange, while still firmly in classic Penfolds territory. Best enjoyed with slow-roasted lamb or a well-charred ribeye.
