Poderi Luigi Einaudi’s 2012 Barolo Cannubi Riserva is a mature, full-bodied Nebbiolo with dark cherry, plum, leather, underbrush, licorice, and warm spice. Firm but polished tannins give it structure, while savory notes of roasted fennel and earth add depth through the long finish. More generous and powerful than the classic, floral Cannubi style, it has the richness and presence associated with a fine traditional Barolo.
Serve slightly cool after decanting with braised beef, roast game, or aged Parmigiano.
