Planted by Jim Barbour (Hundred Acre) from Chappellet’s prized Chenin clone and made by 100pt stallion Thomas River Brown, it comes as no surprise that the wine is extremely limited! VARIETAL: 100% CHENIN BLANC
This wine precisely expresses an electric fruit energy framed by a structural minerality, crystalline acidity and pleasing complex spice components inherent to the varietal. It is a very complete wine that doesn’t emphasize one component over the others, but rather a cohesive idea that is pure magic in the glass. The hue of the wine can best be described as pale-yellow gold. The exotic array of aromas suggest lychee, peach blossom, brass and cumin dust. The mouth-watering palate experience is saturated with a gem-like expression of notes that include lemon oil, green mango, crushed rock, and white lilac.
