The 2013 Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars Cellarius Series Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with generous aromas of spicy red fruit, boysenberry, fig, licorice, and hints of chocolate, tobacco, and cedar.
On the palate, it delivers a soft, round mid-palate of red berries and vanilla, wrapped in silky tannins from the Moser Split Canopy trellis system. V. Cabernet that stunned at the Judgment of Paris. Dark ruby in hue, it offers earthy undertones and a long, luscious finish with subtle tart cherry notes.
Serve at 60–65°F with filet mignon in red wine demi-glace.
