A perfect afternoon of wine and good music. Today, I threw on some Blues (B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Etta James . . . you get the picture). I thought why not pop a cork on Lost Blues’ High Horse Grenache 2017?

Proprietor and Winemaker, Gio Grandinetti, was fascinated with how some of the best blues music recorded was lost to the world through recording degradation. It reminded him of making wine, a life’s work that ultimately disappears. This parallel resonated with Gio and viola, “Lost Blues” was born. Sourced from Murmur Vineyard in Santa Maria Valley, this 100% Grenache is fermented on 33% of the original stems (whole cluster) and aged for 22 months in 50% new French Oak. Dark fruit notes, savory, and delicious. “At Last” the perfect wine to wind down a busy day. With only 83 cases produced, it’s sold out at the winery, but you can still grab it through Wine.com if you hurry.
